Over 800 Free Channels Added to Google TV Live Tab
Google TV now offers over 800 free live channels that can be accessed from your home screen.
Google announced the news via a blog post on its official website.
This new feature allows you to browse over 800 free live TV channels from multiple providers. It is organized in one simple-to-use guide.
These channels can be accessed from your Google TV’s home screen, directly within the Live Tab.
Google TV users may have seen the Live Tab before as it offered various channels from Pluto TV to live streaming.
However, the latest update has included channels from many outlets, including Haystack News, Plex, and Tubi. This allows for hundreds of live channels via M3U integrations.
This will allow for more news & local channels like NBC, ABC, and CBS as well as programming in other languages.
For all-inclusive streaming, those who use an IPTV service like fuboTV, YouTube TV, and Sling TV can also include these channels in the live tab.
This update is now available for all Google TV devices, including Smart TVs with Google TV integrated from Sony, TCL, and Hisense.
Google TV users who own Chromecast can expect the new feature to be available on their devices as soon as possible.
We tested our Chromecast with Google TV and didn’t notice the new feature. However, we will keep checking for updates.
Google plans to integrate this feature into Android TV devices and other IPTV boxes later in the year.
