Popular IPTV Discord Server “R/iptv” Shut Down?
The popular IPTV Discord Server “R/iptv” has apparently been shut down and is now offline.
According to several popular forums, this Discord server vanished and has yet to come back.
After doing further research, our reviews team found a new “CableCorners” forum with a post from the original “R/IPTV” Discord administrator.
The admin’s online alias is “BioLink” and they commented the following on the Discord shutdown situation:
“Hi y’all,
As you know yesterday (5/27/2023) as of 2pm the discord server r/IPTV and my username BioLink#4442 was also deleted.
I have created CableCorners to migrate the members and community here and discord with backups. As you know the main point behind that group was no bias views/sales and that meant it helped everyone out who was new or old to the community. I was actively running and moderating the group with the help of some select people and want to bring the unbiased group back in action better than before.

I’m working on restoring everything back including roles/permissions and categories. Some patience please.”
The name “R/iptv” may ring a bell for IPTV users as this was one of the most popular Reddit threads for finding information on IPTV services, apps, players, boxes, and everything IPTV.
We were surprised to find this Reddit Thread is still available online. However, the last activity was nine months ago so we can speculate that something may have happened behind the scenes.
Overall, it will be interesting to see if more IPTV Discord servers go offline in the near future and figure out who is ultimately behind these shutdowns.
From the outside, this appears to be a violation of free speech and we wouldn’t be surprised if an anti-piracy organization is behind this.
