The popular streaming site Soap2Day has officially been shut down.
Soap2Day one of the most popular free movie streaming sites in the world, has officially shut down after several years of service.
The site had millions of monthly visitors from across the world who used it to stream thousands of on-demand movies and TV shows.
If you visit the original Soap2Day official website (soap2day.to) the operators posted the following message:
“Hello guys: We have decided to close soap2day forever. We are ver sorry
Bye”
While it’s unclear what happened behind the scenes, we scanned this URL through VirusTotal and noticed a malicious file was flagged.
When we see flagged files in VirusTotal, a trusted VPN is pretty much required to protect your online identity and security.
There is also a Soap2Day Twitter account that has been posting updates on the situation.
