TikTok is now banned from devices used in the US House of Representatives

After initially exploding in the wake of its Musical.ly acquisition, TikTok combined Vine and YouTube to become one of the most popular apps to ever hit smartphones. As a Chinese-owned app, it’s also been a lightning rod for controversy — and not just during the Trump administration. Now, in the aftermath of a spying scandal, the US government is taking a step forward in curtailing the app.
