Filmisub and Filmi7 Streaming Sites Shut Down by ACE/MPA
The once-popular Filmisub and Filmi7 streaming sites have been shut down by ACE/MPA.
The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) is a global anti-piracy organization that is responsible for shutting down hundreds of pirate streaming sites.
When it comes to IPTV services, streaming apps, and streaming websites, there are thousands of verified and unverified options to choose from.
We have no idea which streaming apps/sites hold the proper licensing for the content they broadcast, and we rely on reports from ACE like this one to better inform our visitors about the legality of streaming websites.
Filmisub and Fimli7 Shut Down
This time it’s two notable streaming websites on ACE’s radar that were operated out of Bulgaria – Filmisub and Fimi7.
Filmisub
Filmisub was an extremely popular streaming site with over 7.8 million visits per month, according to SimilarWeb.
This streaming site provided access to thousands of on-demand movies and TV shows across a variety of categories.
ACE and the MPA eventually got Cloudflare to hand over the operators’ details. Before disappearing offline for good, the website operators placed the following message on Filmisub:
“The website is permanently closed. It will never work again.”
Filmi7
Fimli7 was another popular streaming website operated out of Bulgaria with around 2.7 million visits per month, according to SimilarWeb.
Similar to Filmisub, the Filmi7 website also offered thousands of video-on-demand titles that allowed users to stream for free.
Court documents revealed that both Fimilsub and Filmi7 were accused of making available the movie “Shaft” and “Frozen II” without permission.
Overall, it will be interesting to see what happens to the operators of Filmisub and Filmi7.
We are also curious to find out which pirate streaming sites are next on ACE’s target list. We will always keep our visitors informed on the latest streaming news when the information is released.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen notable streaming sites get shut down by ACE and other anti-piracy authorities.
